Elopement on the Sand Dunes in California

Sooo excited to be sharing this sand dunes elopement in Glamis, California! Stacey + Tyler are from a small town in Kentucky, but they agreed they wanted to elope out in Southern California! Being big motorcross fans they’ve always wanted to visit the epic sand dunes. It was the perfect location to document their sweet love!! They got ready together at a boho Airbnb in Joshua tree, and then met me out at Glamis 2 hours before sunset!

They put their wedding attire on separately, and then we did the most epic first look on the dunes! We lucked out with there not being too many bikes or buggies on the dunes. It was a Tuesday, which was helpful. But being peak desert season, you never know how crazy crowded it will be! We stayed late past the sunset, and took some retro elopement photos in a 2nd outfit. They ROCKED the vegas vibes with the mini dress and vintage sunglasses look. Ah we had the best time! I’m so honored to have been the photographer for this epic sand dunes elopement with Stacey and Tyler!

Glamis Wedding Photographer for Sand Dunes

I grew up in San Diego, California (just a couple hours away from Glamis!) While I’m typically a mountain and forest gal, I was BLOWN AWAY when I accidentally stumbled up on the Glamis Sand Dunes on a road trip to Arizona. My friend and I got out and walked on the sand, marveled at how something so epic and SO HUGE, was so close by! I thought you had to travel to the middle east or something for sand dunes this wild. Over the last couple of years the Glamis Sand Dunes has become a hot spot for wedding photos and elopements! I’ve had the privilege of going out there a couple of times now, and am OBSESSED!
